A. E. Goodwin

A. E. Goodwin was an Australian heavy engineering firm, which produced railway locomotives and rolling stock, as well as roadmaking machinery.[1]

The company was a licence holder for American Locomotive Company (Alco) products, building almost 500 diesel locomotives for local railway operators throughout the 1950s and 1960.[2] In 1961 the company was taken over by household appliance manufacturer A.G. Healing Limited,[1][3] and announced their closure in 1972.[4]
